Graduation Day 20.06.2006

What a meaningful day to hold our graduation! 20062006!

and I'm officially outta school now. I am no longer a student. =(

My definition of a student is:
-> one who depends on spoon-feeding for homework,
-> one who enjoys so much time together with her girlfriends luffing her arse out,
-> one who dreads going to lectures and attempts to slap herself awake during them,
-> one who feels that south canteen's food is so goddamn cheap and fj's so goddamn exp,
-> one who dreads stepping into the workforce cuz she thinks that it's too stressful for her to handle,
-> one who thinks that java and c++ suck to the core,
-> one who feels that the school lack good-lookers,
-> one who feels that the toilet cleaner auntie is too talkative and complains way too much,
-> one who feels that Mr Okay-O is cute,
-> one who feels like slamming the mouse and keyboard hard when the programme doesnt work,
-> one whose palms sweat like a pig when doing presentation,
-> one who has to queue for toilet when it's already so stinky in there.

All in all, i miss being a student.

we girls have met up last fri, eating our heart out at suntec's kfc. their two-piece chicsare so goddamn small, a chicken itself would have gobbled it up.

sharon was terribly late, we agreed to meet up at 1845, but she was caught up with work, and she reached at 1930-1945. how late.

den we proceeded to the esplanade and took gallions of pix. (i mean, yah, i noe gallion's to decribe water, but who cares?)shall upload the pix when i have the time.

btw, just to inform you guys. i cant access the internet at home, so, u may hear from me a bitlater yeah?

you claim that want us to be just frens, and that you dint want to start liking me cuz u're afraid to "violate" the friendship that we have, but u're controlling my movements as though i'm your gf (i have to be thick-skin here).

i'm sorry, but i'm not.

you cant expect me to be around and answering your calls when u're bored.
i'm working.

and dont even throw your tantrum on me and think that i'll sweet talk you back.
i did before, because i thought i wasnt gonna give up our friendship that we had.

but i'm never gonna do it again.

so what if i'm "violating" the friendship that we HAD?

i'm really honoured that you sent me to and fro from work, though u had to park ur bike over my house, and come all the way to sengkang to look for me. send me up to my house, and ride ur bike back to jurong.

and when you offered to lunch with me at raffles place when u were at ang mo kio. had to make you stand and wait for seats to be free, and make you wait for me to eat.


it was really sweet of you.

but now, i'm having bitter thoughts.


bitter intentions.

you blame everyone but yourself. and whatever you said was pretty "politically correct". and your comments of "hey, dont eat so much lar. you're getting fat." or "watch your diet lar..." or "your 'watermelon' will get bigger if you still eat so much" just dont do any favour for yourself to me. and i have to watch my trap.

and i'm gonna end this "friendship" of ours.

and, i hope that u'll get my drift.

4 days of working life

Life had been rather busy.

went out on monday with jeannie and jinling. ate pizza hut. our favourite chicken ole bake rice. the thought of it just makes me drool at this very moment. -slurps-

tues&wed went out with my parents, ystd night went to copthorne hotel to have seafood buffet with my new-found colleagues and then went for a couple of drinks with jemay and marlene(my colleagues) at zouk's winebar.

though marlene left slightly early cuz her husband came and fetch her home.



tues was a super hectic day for us, as the building had suffered from power failure on monday, and we had received complaints from all the tenants that their power and/or internet and/or phone were not working. what a first day to start off work. and jemay jokingly asked if i'd offered my prayers before i left home. lol. well, i dint. hahas.

wed was still orite; it was more of like, following jemay and having marlene teach me the skills of inquiring the excellence in phone-answering. some callers are ang moh, so i dint quite catch what they'd said. but it was still okay, cuz occasionally jemay and marlene dint either. hees.

thurs... went to have dinner with my new colleagues, but the dinner was rather short, cuz we reached there at ard 7 and then we had the bill sent to us on 8 sharp. haiz, dint really enjoy, and dint manage to take photos. jemay den suggest tat we go to the winebar, and i thought, why not? so i just tagged along, with marlene, to the winebar. jemay ordered one bourbon coke light, but it was still the happy hour, so it came with another which was complimentary. and we chatted as if we dint noe the time and that i felt like i'd known jemay for a long time. it was like, i noe her since eons ago, and the chat seemed like a follow-up after not meeting for many years. and we decided to order another cup of vodka with 7-up, and she ordered her vodka with coke light. hees.

and today, since i'm having my usual women's ailment, i struggled my way back home and decided that an update is absolute necessary.

and, and, and. i have to show you how pretty jemay is.
well, she IS pretty. all the clients swarmed to her like bees to honey, and their trotting speed to her may be like 210km/h. i'm NOT exaggerating.

but well. no more suspense.

imagine the scene when i have to sqeeze into the already-packed mrt. and i may probably also have to tolerate humanes, who-are-so-lacked-of-sleep, to land their heavy skulls on mah shoulders. but well, i doubt i'll be getting a seat on the train too, considering that i get onboard at Yio Chu Kang station. which is in the middle of somewhere and there.

my God.
imagine the scene when i get into the office and there is already loads of people waiting for me to answer the calls, photostat their documents, clean the vicinity, lick boss' boots.
soon, i'll have to kick my own bucket.
touch-wood, though.

imagine the scene when i topples the enormous "watertank" over and spills it and floods the place. or when i topple/trip just as usual, in front of those ang mohs. or when i gabble and gabs and gurgles the saliva outta my mouth.

What's life after graduation?


Work, maybe further studies, work, work, work, work, get married, have children, watch children grow up healthily and happily, have greeat understanding and trust between my husband and i, indisposeness to getting sick, and finally, dying, but with plenty of great-grand children beside me.


This second phase of life is starting soon, on the 2nd of may. i'll be working as a customer service exec. sounds delicious? i dunno. the comp is giving $250/yr for us to buy some standard black jackets and skirts. and the director INSISTS that we wear skirts. hmmm. i udnno why. prolly cuz we'll look more feminine and demure and approachable in skirts? a humongous question mark is drifting all over.

and i'll be enrolling into SIM, taking up its Deg. in IT. and if the application is successful, i'll be having intensive lectures and tutorials for two weeks per month, mon-fri at 7-10, and sats at 9-4, i doubt i have the ability to juggle between work and study and not even to mention to be able to live till the day i see my great grandchildren. =(

and all the talk about several men messaging me at the same time. they've all seemed to disappeared at the same time too.

hahas.


all these peace and tranquility is making me feel strident. =(

I've decided that the title of this entry is totally superfluous, so, i'm quite comfortable with settling it down with the feeling i have now. Stranded.

i'm stranded at home, on this lonely, rainy, cooling, boring tuesday afternoon. YET, i've got no time to spare, cuz i'll be uploading tonnes and tonnes of pix for my beloved-increased-readers.
